My h=journey has come to an end in Lindenwold High School. At first I wanted to finish and get out, but in my heart I know that I will missed it. My final project in senior project went well and I feel proud of my self. All the presentations were great I hope that every single one learned what they wanted to learned. All that I can say it thank you to everyone for being there for me. Have fun in college or what ever you will be doing.

Final Project count down

I'm working on my project and it is coming out really good. Mr. Roddy is helping me a lot and we are having fun as well. On Friday, we should have everything ready for Tuesday and fix anything that needs to be fix. We are working against time and hopefully my presentation would be good. We allready choose the pictures that we will be using in my presentation.

Well, I'm almost finish with my design nails. I need to meet with my mentor, but I think that I will be meeting him tomorrow during fourth period. We will be discussing about the time and when would be handling out papers and everything else.
I been working on an idea that I have in mind. I'm in the process of designing two hair styles and two nail designs for little girls. I will be promoting them in my presentation. I all ready have the time that it will take me to performed that highlights. I'm almost finish with the photos and tomorrow Mr. Roddy and I will be selecting the photos for the scrapbook. I need to go buy some folders and getting them together. I hope everything goes well.

Field Trip

Well I did not go to my sponsor because she had a meeting and I had to finish some work that I had. I have been working in my presentation and I trying to finish everything that I need too. I did not wanted to be there and my sponsor not. I have been doing my manicures and my designs on fake nails. I think that I have learned so much form my sponsor and she encourage me to learn more.

Proof of project.

Well, for my proof for my project would be that I painted Kaisey's (do not know how to spell) nails. I'm practicing and getting better every day. I'm my own teacher since I did not have time to get a sponsor and all that I'm doing is to watch videos and learn by myself. I think they came out good and that I'm getting better. I'm so excited to accomplish new things.

Field Trip #

Well, Yesterday I went to see my sponsor like every week. Mr. Snider could not go with me so I was upset because he did not go and the fact that his grandmother die was devastating. I was at the mall and my sponsor was not there yet. So, Kamara was teaching a new technique for breading. Later on Kamara can in a told me that was someone was looking for me. I came out with the mannequin in my hand and Mr. Snider was there smiling and everything. SO I ended trimming his hair and he loved it. He was surprise as to how fast I learn different techniques as to trim his hair. He was talking to my sponsor (she came in when I was trimming his hair) and asking her about my accomplishments and I how I was adapting to the salon. I was surprise because I was not prepare for him to go the salon and I was also nervous. The hair cut turn out good and he said that he would be buying me lunch and for the class he will bring pretzels. I was proud of my self!!!

Filed Trip #19

These week I did not spend as much time a I had liked with my sponsor because of issues that are going on in school. I did went and was nice to see everyone again. My sponsor is going on vacation these week, so that means that she will not be here. I did talked to her about going to the Cutting Crew and practiced on the mannequins. I need to practice and become better. All that I did was take some pictures and watch a women get waxed. I enjoy every time that I'm her.

Well, I have all ready the pictures for my back ground in my presentation and I'm currently waiting for Mr. Roddy approval. I was thinking of designing my brochure in a different way. For example, having a menu or a price card with my outline of my presetation. To not expend so much money I was thinking of having a folder with pictures that would be pass around and be observe. I still have to meet with Mr. Roddy and see what he thinks about my ideas.

Yesterday and today I went to talk to the juniors about senior project. In my personal opinion, I think that the juniors did not care or did not believe the things that we told them. Mr. Snyder and I talked about the current students in role in Senior Project and of how it can be a way to open a door to a new world. I was glad to see some students asking questions and possibly thinking of joining the Senior Project Seminar. I hope that the students that do get pick have a good year like I have.

Unfortunately, I had to change my mentor because of time circumstances. Mr. Roddy is my current mentor and I can not explain how he enjoys helping me. He is not just my mentor but a friend. He tries to understand everything that I say to him. I give him my ideas and he polish them and makes them even better. I think that we are becoming a team and that my final project would come out great. He also helps me to understand everything that I need to accomplish for my project. I'm really excited to have him as my mentor. Thank you Mr. Roddy.

Connection BLog

For my final project I will be performing highlights and explaining how the color works and how long does it takes to pull the color in. In the mean time I will be taking pictures and uploading them to a CD so at my presentation it will become a slide show while I performed my highlights. I will try to go tomorrow fro at least 10 minutes and tell my sponsor that I will only take pictures as of this week and the following week I will be able to continue my learning. I hope everything goes well and I'm excited to see my final project.

Field Trip can not go

SO, this week I can not visit my sponsor because I got in trouble for going seven hours to my sponsor. I can only visit her after school, but I can not because I'm working almost every afternoon. I do not have anything in mind.The only thing that I will do is watch some videos and try to practice on my highlights. I also have to study for my AP test and to finish two more project for my AP 3-D Study Art test. I hope that I pass both of them or at least just one!!!

Free Blog #17

For my free blog I chose to do sports. As of right now I'm playing bowling and getting better for my surprise. During the summer I want to play soccer again and I hope that Sofia will play with me. I hope to spend more time with her since I'm in school and working during the night I do not get to see her. I want to spend more time with her and I will try to so that by incorporating soccer in our lives. I hope that she likes it and would be glad as well as if she does not like it.

Connections #17

This week all that I did was art, and that is my connection because art and hair goes hand in hand. They are related because you can create a piece of art in hair as long as you can and can handle hair. I love hair but is difficult for me to do my own hair, I like to work on others people hair as long as they let me. In art you need plan out what would next step as well as in hair. You need to know if what you are doing satisfy the customer because you can not go back and fix it. I remember when I did my first cut by my self and was nervous but my sponsor was not there for me, so I trusted my own knowledge. I was scared of messing with the hair, but I accomplish my goal as to what I wanted to get done. My boyfriend said to me not to worry and that it was only hair and that it would grow back. He was please to see me live my dream to learn and became a hairstylist. At lease I get a change to try it out. In conclusion, art and cosmetology goes hand in hand.

On Wednesday, I went there and got a ride so I got to be there at 10:00 am. during the time I was waiting for her, Lucy was there and she was excited to see me. She ask about school and if I have apply for college or trade school. She also told me that if she was mean to me, she was sorry but that was the way she was. I told her not to worry that I was there so everyone can judge my work and if I'm doing something wrong to tell me so I can improve. She keep jocking with me all day long an I really enjoy her company. She also gave tips about working and the things
she said to me was that If I become a
"hairstylist" to work in a one place and start a book there and build my way up. People will start knowing an dhow I work and probably make some friends but the most important would be clients. Now a days new hairstylist change from place to place and their clients would not look for them, because they did not get time to spend with them. She was glad that I choose this career and told me that I will enjoy it every day. New people come in and talk to you sometimes even make your life better. I saw highlights getting done and I flat iron a mannequins and well as did a hair do that was a heart shape and then on the sides was braided.

Field Blog #17

On Tuesday, I went to my sponsor as usual. I was there at 1100 am., since is early I get to spend more time with my sponsor becasue the rush hour is mostly in the after noon. She was waiting for me and she was excited when I told her that I will be there for the whole day or you could say most of the morning. She told me that today I was not going to be with her instead I was handed to Barbara( a co-worker). That Barb was going to show me how to tease hair and use roller sets. She also told me that I was going to try it and see how dose it feels. I watch closely as Barb was teasing and older women's hair. She was working with two women and in one of those women she was also doing a perm. I got to see how does a perm start and finish. The solution that she put in the hair was strong and I felt dizzy since. It also upset my stomach and did not wanted to eat all day. After about two hours Marti ask me about how I felt and now a days, most people do not tease their hair and if they do they use heating curlers instead of rollers sets. I did learn so much this day and did not wanted to leave but I need to go get my daughter and go home.

Free Blog #16

In my free blog, I chose to have some free time for my self.
I needed to be alone and to forget all the things that are going on in my life. So on Friday, I went bowling at night with my boyfriend since my daughter was sleeping we left her with my sister and law. I had fun and my boyfriend and I had some time a lone to spend. He show me some tricks but I could not do them and we enjoy it a lot. I liked this weekend. All the stress that we had disappear for the moment and we enjoy our free time. We hope to do it again in the future,but this time take my daughter with us.

Field Trip #16

During this week I got to try something new. I tried eyebrow waxing. I tried on my mom's eye browns and she said that it did not hurt at all. That she did not notice which eye brown I did. I was please that Marti got to show me something new and she also explain to me the procedures as to waxing and the consequences if you wax the same spot twice. I did like to wax and look forward to do it again.

This week I had to think hard about having connections but I mange to think something. While I was writing my blogs I hit space and It came in some other language. I did not understand why an could not fix it. It happen in school and at my house but I hit EDIT HTML and kind of fix it. I had to have patience while writing my blogs, and that made think of hair, because I have to have patience to deal with people and the complains that they might give me while treating their hair. Or in the other hand while they keep talking and never be quiet and that might get annoying.
