Connection #15

The movie that we saw while the rest of our class was away was "Departures". The film had different emotions and it show how the living eat the dead. Make up is a important part in the movie. They show how the dead need to be prepare for the after life. Two scenes that touch my heart was when the main actor sees the burning part is closing a door to this life and right after that birds fly off and they are together like in a pack. The same way we are, we stick together and we take off for the next life. Since I want to study cosmetology and that involves make up as well. I loved this movie and I learned so much too. About a father that did not forgot about his son even though that he was not with him, he still loved him until the very last day of his life.

• Having a career is something that you love and want to do it for the rest of your life or at least part of your life. For me, cosmetology is the career that I can be with in my rest of my life. The same way that I will be with my boyfriend. A career is something that you love and enjoy doing. A phrase that I like saying is why be miserable when you can do want you like and why do something that you do not enjoy. If you do not like something well do not do it because you will do it wrong. People like to see other people happy and enjoying them selves.

As I was brain storming for this blog, I taught about my daughter. Marti, my sponsor is teaching me how to be a excellent hairstyle's. In the other hand I'm teaching AnaSofia my daughter to talk and how to eat with her hands, as well as how to play with different toys. She loves to be around books and she will pay attention to you when you read to her. She does understand what you are saying and they are like sponges that will absorb everything in their path. She knows what to do when I'm around and the same when someone else is around. As well as I do when Marti is teaching me something new or any other person. I love to learn new things and I want to learn more every day.

Cutting hair is an art. If you do not do it right, it will not come out good. I have a sprain ankle and is the same as cutting hair or similar. If a person does not take care and follow all the instruction like your doctors says then you will do more harm than good. If you do not cut hair properly then your design would not come out good. You have to performed the best possible and follow every single step. The same way as a sprain ankle and performing a hair cut.

Shaila Dúrcal is a Latina singer. She was in the grammy's of 2010. All of her hair is up and the dress that she is wearing has the colors and a variety of flowers as well. Hair do's and fashion goes in hand. To achieve a great look you need to work on your hair and as well as your clothes. By having the hair up she has achieve to show her face and her accessories as well.

During my visit to my sponsor, I had an hour to performed a hair do. I did combine two completely different designs. I did repeated many times the same disign. Like both of Katies' I had art being involved in my assigment. One has art in paper and the other one has art in pastry, and I have art in hair. We all share something in common in any way anyone can think.

Connection to Environmenal Science

I was excited when Saturday or Sunday I can not really remember, I saw electricians putting solar panel around the stoplights. That is when it hit me about if you can not take care of your how would you take care of the environment. I was surprise seen the solar panels. Then Katie told me about shampoo can be be harm to the environment as well.

Project Connections!!!

I could not think of a connection with hair, the only think that I could make connections would be with time. You need time to do your hair or to make a style. Probably I do not have time to spend on my hair. But people that do have time they often straight their hair or make it curly. I do have the utensils to do the same but I'm often tired because of my daughter not wanting to go to sleep during the night. The good thing is that I do have time to do her hair. She does not like it but she does not have a choice.
