Field Trip-- 4

Today was my day for my field trip. I could not called my sponsor ,because I acciendenty lost her phone number. As I was trap in my house because of the snow and my daughter sleeped really good, I had a change to read a book called ,BOBBI BROWN TEENAGE BEAUTY by Bobbie Brown and Annerie Iverson. When I was reading I notice that you do not need to wear so much make up. A girl is always beutiful. Also you do not need to stress over so many things becasue you are still in high school. A qoute that I like in the book was "My idea of the perfect make over is to make a girl prettier, naturally.'' This book helped me understand better of how a person can apply make up better and correctly.

Project Connections!!!

I could not think of a connection with hair, the only think that I could make connections would be with time. You need time to do your hair or to make a style. Probably I do not have time to spend on my hair. But people that do have time they often straight their hair or make it curly. I do have the utensils to do the same but I'm often tired because of my daughter not wanting to go to sleep during the night. The good thing is that I do have time to do her hair. She does not like it but she does not have a choice.

Who inspires you?

Well, the person that inspires me is my daughter and also my mom. They are the most important persons in my life. They make me laugh and enjoy life better. For example, my mom would always say to my sister and I, to keep going and to be a better person, because we now have a little person that we need to look over.
My mom is has been a role model that I would like to follow. She has been there every time that I had made mistakes and she is the first one to pick me up when I have fallen. My sister has been there next to me and support me when ever I face obstacles in my life. I would never regret for having a daughter, and a mom that loves me.

Field Trip -==3

During my third visit, I was really excited I got to do so many things. The first hing that I was to get out of school early and when to get my daughter and MY MOM!. After that, I had to meet with my sponsor at 1:15 pm. So, I arrive in time and only waited for my mom to came up the stairs. I shoopom my mom's hair. then I trim my her hair evenly. My sponsor only watched what was I doing. If i did something wrong she would tell me(that only happen two times!!).
After that, I watched my sponsor waxing my mom's eyebrows. The next time I will do it to her.
My mom was nervous, but I think that I accomplish my first goal.

I all ready meet with my sponsor. She is a very cool lady and I really like her a lot. On the first day I heard everyone's story of how they started in cosmetology. She also asked me about the final project. My sponsor wented me too create it and she will only give me some ideas as too what would be better. She want's me to get better in trimming hair and to learn as much as I can.
There were happy and excited the same as me. On the second visit, I shampoo the hair of a mannequin and give her a trim as well. Just a small trim so I would have it for later on the road. I did not meet my sponsor on the past two weeks because we had our kick off event and then she needed to go to a meeting last week. She is patient and she is a really good teacher. I really enjoy having her as a sponsor.
My mom will be caming with me on my next visit and I will trim her hair. We will not pay anything and if I wan to try to color it well then I will have to pay just for the color.

Monday's HW

Yes, I go every week for two hours and my visits are on Wednesday.

2. Which day will you be visiting your sponsor and why did you select this day?
How will you get to your sponsor?
Wednesday will be the day that I will visit my sponsor. We selected this day ,because I do not work and because she is not too busy and have time to spend with me.

3.What difficulties with the the student sponsor obligation can you anticipate at this point?
In reality I do not anticipate any difficulties. We get along and I have learned so much form her. The time that she gives me is a lot. On every visit, I get to do something new. I even borrow DVD's to watched at home (they do everything fast).

4. Write a paragraph explaining what exactly you want to get from your sponsor. Be specific.
Well, I want to get form my sponsor a lot of knowledge. She knows what is going on and she explains everything that is happening. For example, I all ready have started to trim hair, just the basic ,but is a start. Also, she will get help me in my presentation and would even allow me to bring a person with me and trim there hair for FREE. She will teach me different techniques that I will be applying on mannequins and in real people. There fore, she will be involved in everything that I will be presenting and creating.
