Chapter 10 was the most striking chapter so far. The way that the Russian soldier tries to have be with the lady(mention in the book), just because they are in war. It reminded me of the way immigrants travel to another place or country for a better life. The way that they need to sneak out of their own country and to learned how to communicate with other people. During the traveling, can happed many things. For example, one of the men that were traveling with them, die and his father shoot himself. In the news you often see how people die travel in trains and ships, so they can reach America. Many people don’t see that and think that is easy, but you can be expose to may dangers. People immigrate from a better life that he or she already has. In conclusion, it reminded me of people immigrating to another country.

It is very true that many people try to immigrate into a better life, even if they know it will be dangerous. They might immigrate to a place close to their home country, or risk going to a place much farther away like how so many different kinds of people seek a new life in America. I think some people may take this for granted, especially because it is very rare for Americans to be attacked on their home soil, but there are always moments in time when we can appreciate the dangers people face in order to improve their lives, and the lives of their family.
I agree with Katie and you very much. We do not see what is bad, the strugles or loses we take what we have for granted and I give everyone who has immagrated tons of respect because you never know what they have gone through to improve our lives.
